About this spot

Phú Quý district (about 120km east of Phan Thiet) comprises a total of ten islands, with Phú Quý Island (Đảo Phú Qúy) being the largest. The north of the island is rocky, while the sparsely populated south consists mostly of sandy flats.

The two high points on this otherwise mostly flat island are the the lighthouse in the northwest, and Cao Cat Mountain in the northeast.

Although daily fast boats connect the island to the mainland, tourism has only recently developed. Dozens of small shrines and temples, empty coast roads and long, open bays along most of the coastline make for a scenic environment.
