About this spot

Larache sits north the mouth of the Oued Loukos, directly on the Atlantic Ocean. Tangier is 90 kilometres driving distance northeast, and the capital Rabat approx. 172 kilometres southwest. The scenic ruins of the roman town of Lixus are a local attraction.

Larache is somewhat famed for its tubing left wave that can break along the harbour jetty, on the North side of town towards the Loukkos rivermouth. Strong currents and inconsistent swells will make this spot inaccessible for entry-level surfers though. Watch out for rocks and polluted waters.
