German Windsurf Cup 2009/2010 is over!

The German Windsurf Cup 2010 is over. All competitors and spectators witnessed probably the best competition in the history of the windsurf cup at Westerland / Sylt. During the five days of the competition there were 14 races in great wind- and weather conditions in front of 100000 spectators.

Again, Bernd Flessner could win this competition ahead of Helge Wilkens and Vincent Langer. Gunnar Asmussen won the Slalom competition. The spectacular Wave-Freestyle competition was won by youngster Philip Köster.

As this was the last competition of the 2009/2010 series, the German champions could also be crowned. Bernd Flessner secured his title again, winning his 15th title. He also won the title in Racing. Windfinder Windsurf Team rider Gunnar Asmussen won the Slalom title for the first time - congratulations to Gunnar! There was also a new German champion in Wave-Freestyle, Klaas Voget won this competition.

There is only a short break before the new season 2010/2011 starts. The next competition will be held at Schönberger Strand near Kiel from July 30th to August 1st.
