Hua Hin, Thailand is not only known for its legendary beaches, friendly people and delicious spicy food. This year will mark the first ever professional kiteboarding event in the history of Asia, making this the perfect place to host Asia's first ever Pro Kiteboarding event. Asia will be a new era for the sport, as its region is expected to become part of the annual pro tour event lineup. Holding a world-class event in Asia will not only promote the sport of kiteboarding, but it will offer a chance for new talent to take center stage and to encourage Asian riders to compete. 
The top kiteboarders from around the world will compete in the Intercontinental Hua Hin Kiteboarding World Cup, a grand slam PKRA event, sanctioned by IKA/ISAF which will feature Freestyle, Course Racing, and Board Off, disciplines from March 15th-20th. Registration for the Intercontinental Hua Hin World Cup will take place on March 14th. The best 62 freestyle and racing riders from around the world from different 20 nationalities signed up for what promises to be a historic event in the world of kiteboarding.
