This weekend, kitesurfers in northern Germany will have the opportunity to test a lot of equipment or simply meet each other after the winter break. Meeting place will be at the "King of the Coast" event at Brasilien/Mittelstrand near Kiel at the Baltic Sea. On saturday evening, there will also be the season opening party of Free Magazine at Lunaclub / Kiel, where all kiters, surfers and windsurfers can share their stories about the day on the water and how they had spent the winter time.

Wind forecast for the Kiel area looks really promising with sunny and warm conditions and easterly winds ranging from 12 to 19 knots. With this wind direction and weather conditions, you have to add up some knots due to thermal influences to get the real conditions at the beaches. Current wind speed will be available at the Kiel-Lighthouse wind meter which updates every seven minutes to check the wind conditions in real time. There are also four webcams nearby if you want to have a look at the beaches for yourself.
