German Kitesurf Trophy kickoff

April 28, 2009 8:14 AM, Author: Jonas |
The German SEAT Kitesurf Trophy starts at Dahme / Baltic Sea this weekend. From Thursday to Sunday, Germany's best kitesurfers will be meeting each other again after the winter break to battle each other again for the title of the German Championship. There will be a race event and a freestyle competition. The men's competition last year was a close battle between Mario Rodwald (Rendsburg, SKBue) and Stefan Permien (Kiel), but Rick Jensen (Lutzhorn, SKBue) will also be a close competitor. In the last years the women's competition was dominated by Sabrina Lutz (Hamburg), we will see which girl will face her this year.

The wind forecast and Superforecast for Dahme and the whole western Baltic Sea region looks okay with winds up to 16 knots from easterly directions - with this direction you can add some knots to the wind due to thermal influences. However, keep an eye on the wind forecast for the next few days because of a small low-pressure system over western Germany which is hard to predict right now and wind forecasts may change because of that.

You can also meet the Windfinder team in Dahme - if you want to have the newest wind forecast or simply have a chat, just contact us!
