2008 has been a busy year for Windfinder. In February, we introduced our website for mobile devices, windfinder.mobi. We received a lot of feedback for this site, and we will continue our work on it.
Later this year, in May, we introduced the Superforecast, our high resolution weather forecast model, which also became a big part of the Windfinder website. Later we came up with Superforecast maps and Superforecasts for North America.
In August we had a big coverage of the PKRA Kiteboarding World Cup in St.Peter-Ording, where our managing director, Oliver König, gained 10th place in course racing. One month later, we visited the PWA Windsurfing World Cup at Westerland/Sylt, which also was an action-packed great event.
During this time, we improved our wave forecasts with high resolution wave forecasts for North America and Europe as well as new features for our Swellfinder page. We will also keep up the work there.
In December we introduced Windfinder in multiple languages, where we are still working on to provide more languages.
