Start of the new German Windsurf Cup from August, 8-10th at Dümmer See

From Aug. 8-10th the german windsurfing elite meets at Hüde/DümmerSee to collect their first ranking points for the new DWC championship.
The DWC-Dümmer is the Kick-off event of a new era. The German Windsurfing Mastership and the national DWC regatta series melt to the new DWC Mastership series. The final event will take place in July 2009 on Sylt.

More than 40 starters have registered for exciting competitions in the disciplines racing, slalom and wave freestyle for the battle for a podium position and valuable ranking points.

Besides the 13 times German Master Bernd Flessner (GER-16, F2, Neilpryde) and Helge
Wilkens (GER-63, Starboard, Gun) newcomer Fabian Mattes (GER-202, Starboard, North) and Jon-Hendrik Frey (GER-894, F2) have also signed up (as well as the riders from the windsurfing team of course)

If you like to have a beer with that top athletes you are invited to join the surf party with live music on saturday evening in the restaurant Rohrdommel in Hüde.
