The German SEAT Kitesurf-Trophy had a fantastic contest this weekend on the island Sylt (Wind Report, Wind Forecast, Superforecast) in the German North Sea. The forth tour stop this year had perfect conditions with enough wind and waves for every competition.
The men's freestyle competition was won by last year's German champion Mario Rodwald, defeating Rick Jensen and Stefan Permien. Sabrina Lutz, who is also a favorite to defend her title from last year, won the women's freestyle competition as well as the women's race competition. The men's kite race was won by Dutch rider Eddy Lansick, while the junior's race competition was won by 14-year-old Florian Gruber. In the junior's freestyle competition, Dutch rider Jerry van de Kop won against Vito Brabetz. Windfinder congratulates all winners!
If you are still staying on Sylt, watch out for the Legit Jam! This is a competition where seven riders ride seven days and judge each other with the focus on style. Find daily updated pictures on www.ridelegit.com, and after the competition everyone can vote for their personal favorite on www.kitelife.de. The next days look quite windy (7-day forecast for Westerland), so that we can expect some great action and nice photos!
