The Hamburg International Boat Show Hanseboot closed last Sundays after 9 days. The boatshow hosted 900 exhibitors from 30 countries: sailing yachts, motor yachts, accessories, services, diving, kayaking, windsurfing, kitesurfing, surfing, wakeboarding, etc. 5 new exhibition halls with an additional 5000 m² were added this year to account for a total of 78000 m² in 11 halls. "Things are improving and people are buying again - that is the mood among exhibitors," said Bernd Aufderheide, Chairman of the Management Board of HMC (Hamburg Messe und Congress GmbH), in his summary. Hopefully this impression will prove to be true for the watersports industry in 2008..
